Okay, I'm not really out having lunch. But I am having one incredible vacation!!! I'm heading back to upstate New York for 3 action packed weeks. I am saddened by the fact that I can't be here blogging everyday, but I'm sure I'll get over it soon enough. Be sure to check back in about 4 weeks, because there will be at least 5 posts full of vacation pics. Until then, this is Craig Salmond, signing off. Ten four, over and out (and any other applicable phrase).

Jacob - Part II
I'm so glad that I was here to take some pictures of my newest nephew, Jacob. When my other nephew Max and my niece Brinley were born I wasn't able to take some newborn pictures of them because I was out of town. I was so bummed about that! But I had a great session with my nephew this morning. I've really got to do more sessions with newborns. They are so much fun!!! They don't move around at all, they're very, very tired (like me) and you just can't make them look bad. I've always enjoyed taking pictures of children, particularly candids, and I think that's one of the reasons why I like taking pictures of newborns so much. You just can't ask a newborn to say cheese, not that I would even if I could. I hate saying cheese with a camera in my hands. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the rest of my Jacob pics.

Angie's Wedding Revisited
I've had a chance to work on Angie's wedding pictures a little more. The first pictures that I posted were actually more of a rough first edit. These are more carefully edited, mostly black and white and sepia-toned pictures. Just last week I learned some new techniques for editing pictures in Photoshop and Angie's wedding was my first experience trying them out. What do you think?

Jacob
Here are two quick pictures of my newest nephew, Jacob. He's so cute. By the way, since I'm a guy, I don't use that word too often, but in this case, with newborns, it definitely applies. Even though I personally didn't hear it live, the video recording show's that he's one heck of a screamer! Kid's gonna grow up to be a singer, I can already tell (as if we didn't already know that!). Hopefully, more of these will follow.
Oh, and another thing. Thanks to my older brother Joe, my iPod is officially not dead!!! I don' t know if he can claim a whole lot of credit, but the one thing he didn't do was give up on it - a true Apple aficionado if I ever saw one. It just goes to show one thing, that Apple products sure can last. I never should have given up on him so easily.
P.S. I need to confess that these pictures were taken with my mom's point-and-shoot camera. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me at the time. Still, point and shoot cameras have their place.

Sad Day
So today is definitely a sad day for me. My iPod died, giving me the sad face. He was so very old, too, especially in electronic years. In just a few more months, he would have been 5 years old!!! I had a feeling this was going to happen soon, and that feeling just started this week. Looks like I'm going to be iPod-less for a while, but I'm willing to sacrifice in order to get a new iPod Touch. They are the next best thing to an iPhone. Hopefully it'll happen soon, because I use my iPod almost as much as I use my computer (slight exaggeration).
