Brittany & Scott

These pictures are the best!!! Brittany is a good friend of mine from high school so I was more than happy to take be her photographer. Scott is such a funny guy and the two of them together is just a riot. I kept having to ask myself, "I get paid for having so much fun?"

This was hilarious. I couldn't believe my eyes. Right when I was taking this picture, some random guy just came and stood right in front of me, between me and Brittany and Scott. He had his huge duffel bag on him too. He was totally oblivious to my presence or the fact that I was taking pictures. I think that he was drunk too.












The cake was done by none other than Kelly's Confections. Isn't it amazing? By the way, in case you're wondering, it tasted as good as it looked. Mmmm, yummy.

Clouds

Here are some really cool pictures of some clouds. I thought it was so crazy how there was so much detail in these clouds. Notice how there are so many different shades of gray. And we all thought that storm clouds were always just gray (at least, I did).

Black and White Images

I've been playing lately with a new program to make very cool black and white pictures. Actually, calling them black and white doesn't do them nearly enough justice. It creates a very natural looking picture, emulating several old black and white films. I've never really shot with film, so it's been a learning process for me to see what these old films are like. Here, take a look at some of the pictures that I've been able to make and see what you think.

Don't you just love how the edited version of this picture has a rustic feel to it? It has quite a bit of photo grain so characteristic of film as well as a split tone sepia effect.


Or, you can just do a high contrast black and white version.


Or you can tint it blue, like this.

Here's one of my favorites. This split tone is both silver and blue, with a yellowish paper effect. Very cool.

Another Family Picture

I've been helping my soon-to-be brother-in-law learn photoshop and I have to say, I'm very impressed with his understanding. As a project, we started working on his sisters family picture. I have to confess, I didn't take this picture, (I think his aunt took it) but it was a perfect test file to work with.

Bonnie's Bridals

Here are some shots of Bonnie, my new sister-in-law. I took some bridals for her at the Salt Lake Temple and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

As you've probably noticed by now, all the pictures are a sepia look. I decided that I want to try something that I've never done before. I edited all of these pictures in sepia, just to see what it would look like. Just so that you know, I don't usually (I've never actually) edit all my pictures in sepia or black and white. This was just a project of mine. And because her dress was so cool and colorful, I included one (three, really) pictures of her in color.
