February Birthdays

There are so many memorable birthdays in February. Obvoiusly the most notable are the birthdays of the two greatest presidents this nation has ever had, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Now these are two men who I definitely want to be like. But I got to thinking why it is that the original Mr. President still has an old design on the $1 bill. I mean seriously, they have a new design for Alexander Hamilton but not one for George Washington! Well, I figured that I'd go ahead and design one, or at least see what it would look like. So here are my two favorite presidents, both with new bill designs.



Oh, I almost forgot the other memorable birthday in February, mine! Yup, I'm officially one year older and wiser too or at least, I'd like to think that I'm wiser. I have to thank my kid sister (Katie) who chose the awesome candles for this cupcake and my other sister (Jenny) for decorating it. Who knew that 27 candles could fit on one cupcake?



PS - Just so you know, it's not a good idea to let the candles burn all the way down to the frosting, especially when there's as much frosting as this cupcake had. The shortening in the frosting burst into flames about 8 inches off the cupcake. It would have made an awesome picture too, but my instincts kicked in and I sacrificed the cool photo in order to save the cabinet overhead from becoming engulfed in flames, otherwise I would have got a picture of that too.

Several Weddings

I've got a lot of pictures from weddings that I've never posted, so I figure that now is as good a time as any.

Brittany & Scott

These pictures are the best!!! Brittany is a good friend of mine from high school so I was more than happy to take be her photographer. Scott is such a funny guy and the two of them together is just a riot. I kept having to ask myself, "I get paid for having so much fun?"









This was hilarious. I couldn't believe my eyes. Right when I was taking this picture, some random guy just came and stood right in front of me, between me and Brittany and Scott. He had his huge duffel bag on him too. He was totally oblivious to my presence or the fact that I was taking pictures. I think that he was drunk too.












The cake was done by none other than Kelly's Confections. Isn't it amazing? By the way, in case you're wondering, it tasted as good as it looked. Mmmm, yummy.
